Duck leg slowly cooked in duck fat, a specialty of South-West France.

PLEASE NOTE the gratin potato dish that can be ordered to accompany the duck confit, serves 2.

Suitable for home freezing. Freeze on day of receipt. Use within one month.

Produced in an environment where celery, wheat, tree nuts, milk, fish, crustaceans and molluscs are handled

  1. Place the duck (still within its bag) in a bowl or container.
  2. Boil the kettle and pour very hot/boiling water over the duck until it’s covered and leave for 15-20 minutes. Once the time is up, remove from the water.
  3. Open the bag and place the duck skin side down on non-stick baking tray and / or on to parchment paper. Cover loosely with tin foil.
  4. Dispose of the bag and the juices.
  5. Preheat oven to: fan oven 180°C / electric oven 200°C / gas mark 6.
  6. Place the baking tray in the centre of the oven and cook for 25 minutes at 180°C.
  7. Once cooked, remove the dish from the oven, remove the foil and leave to stand for 2 minutes.
